Maison Gala’s “zero waste” packaging policy
Brand assets
A brand is a mixture of many things: a name, a logo, a collection, styles and colors and, not least, packaging.
Packaging
Product presentation also matters. It is the first thing that customers see when their goods are delivered.
For me, packaging is a vital part of today’s efforts to combat climate change.
But how can packaging contribute to brand commitment to more responsible consumption?
In our earlier blog on hemp, we told you that, according to recent studies, the textile industry is the second worst offender in terms of industrial pollution.
At Maison Gala, we have always been anti-waste, as evidenced by our tablecloths and natural fabrics such as linen and hemp.
While we could use standard gift wrapping for your cocktail napkins or tablecloths, which would look great, it would not be very kind to the environment.
Recently I had a flash of inspiration in the middle of the night. Thinking about how to make Maison Gala’s packaging both useful and original, it occurred to me that there was no reason why spare scraps of material should go to waste. Whence the idea of a multi-reusable bag. All you need is a piece of fabric (linen, hemp, satin, etc.), two mother of pearl buttons and a few stitches and the result is an elegant “zero waste” bag.
With our packaging we can offer you a well-wrapped surprise that is kind to the planet 🌍.
to the benefit of us all!
And our thanks go to our weavers and clients for their photos 😍 and kind messages.
