A craftsmen and women story

Danilo and decorative majolica
Today I should like to introduce you to Danilo, master craftsman and creator of our decorative majolica Sicilian Moor’s heads and pine cones.
Danilo is the third generation of a family of potters in a small village in the Province of Messina. He is the son of one the region’s best-known families, famous for its ceramics since the early 20th century.

From the earliest age, Danilo developed a passion and a fascination for the family business and, in 2007, he was awarded his Master’s degree in Ceramic Art and Design from the Ceramic Art Institute in Santo Stefano di Camastra (Sicily).
It was then that he decided to embrace the family tradition choosing to produce sophisticated decorative ceramic accessories in a range of colors, skillfully combining artistry, tradition and innovation for a stunning effect.

Danilo is not only a seasoned craftsman. He is also a nice person: patient, open-minded and warmly welcoming, just like the island of his birth, Sicily!
